Synopsis: In Ek Ajnabee, Amitabh Bachchan plays Suryaveer Singh, a misfit in society who finally finds redemption in the smile of a little girl. When Anamika, the girl he has been hired to protect, is kidnapped he is felled by the kidnappers bullets and critically injured. Anamika's wealthy father Ravi (Vikram Chatwal) realizes that no money is enough to save his daughter. Her helpless mother Nikasha (Perizaad Zorabian) hopes that her prayers will somehow be answered. Bangkok based Ravi Rathore lives a wealthy lifestyle and runs a business which he took over when he married Ni! kasha. They now have a school-going daughter, Anamika, and a f! ailing b usiness. In order to make up for his business losses, Ravi hires some men to kidnap Anamika, hold her for ransom, demand two million American dollars, and then release her. Ravi hires an elderly, alcoholic bodyguard named Suryaveer Singh, who dislikes crowds and children. He does warm up to the bubbly Anamika and both share a bond - which is broken when Anamika is kidnapped from her piano school, Surya is severely wounded, but does manage to shoot three abductors. He recovers in hospital, and is quite upset that he has failed in his job. Meanwhile Ravi is quite relieved that the kidnapping has gone according to plan, he does notify the police, and they set up a trap to apprehend the kidnappers. But then something goes terribly wrong, the police end up shooting and killing the men, who in turn kill Anamika. Surya, who is on his way home to India, cancels his trip, returns and starts asking questions, not knowing that he is going to unearth a web of deceit, lies and deception,! which may only end when he uncovers the entire truth or die's trying.Justice J.P. Chatterjee has lived is life in a shell for the past 40 years. His life revolved around his duties as a Judge. Period. Now after retirement he has taken up some extra-curricular activities, one of which is jogging. He meets with a beautiful young woman named Jenny, and is attracted to her. She needs his help in resolving an on-going judicial matter. Chatterjee assists her by referring her to another lawyer, and informing her that her current lawyer has been mishandling her matter in court. She complies with his instructions, and wins the case, and proclaims Chatterjee as her fourth boyfriend.
